VENLA RACK RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OUR SERVICE:
VENLA is a rent-a-rack secondhand fashion store. We provide an easy way for you to recycle your good quality garments, earn money, and help the world become more sustainable.
We accept only clean and undamaged clothing and accessories for sale at our stores. We reserve the right to reject and remove any items that we deem unsuitable for sale or presentation at the store.
The seller agrees to follow the below terms and conditions set by VENLA. VENLA reserves the right to amend the T&Cs at any time.
CHARGES AND PAYMENT OF PROCEEDS:
Rack rental rates and commission rates are detailed on our website, and are subject to change.
Rack bookings can be made online orby contacting the store. Rack rental fees must be paid at time of booking. Rental fees are not refundable within 14 days of the reservation start date, and no refunds are issued if the seller decides to finish their rental early.
Date change requests within 14 days of reservation start date are not guaranteed and will be managed on a case-by-case basis. Reservations moved to later dates will not be eligible for refund.
In addition to the rack rental fee, we charge a percentage commission on all items sold.
The proceeds of sales, less commission, are paid to the seller’s bank account within 15 days of the end of the rental period.
SELLING SELF-SERVICE:
1. Once you have booked your rack, you can start itemising and pricing your garments in our online booking system. Detailed instructions are emailed to you when you make your booking.
2. When your rack rental starts, we will print barcode price tags at the store for you to attach to the items. Our store system reads only the provided bar codes – items without code will not be sold.
3. Make sure all items are cleaned and pressed/steamed before you bring them to the store.
4. Bring items to the store in the morning of the start date of your rental period. We will assign you a rack and provide the hangers and price tags. You set up your rack with up to 40 items of clothing + up to 5 accessories (max 3 pairs of shoes).
5. VENLA does not provide any storage space for sellers. Any packaging, bags etc must be taken with you, they are not to be left at the store. The aisles must be kept clear at all times and no sale items are allowed on the floor due to fire safety and hygiene reasons.
6. You’re welcome to come in every few days to refill your rack. You can follow your sales in our app.
7. We recommend you do a 20% to 50% off sale on your rack for the last two days of your rental, however this is not compulsory. The sale must apply to all items left – a sale sign will be attached on your rack. Please advise us if you want to use this option.
8. Your rack must be emptied on the last day of the rental agreement. Please ensure you come at least 1 hour before store closing time to collect any leftover items. An additional storage charge of $40 / day will be deducted from sale proceeds if items are not picked up on the last day of rental.
9. Clothes not collected within 7 days of rental finishing will become property of VENLA and will be disposed at our discretion.
10. When packing away your clothes please double check to make sure the clothes are yours.
SELLING ALL INCLUSIVE:
Our “All Inclusive” service allows you to bring us 40-60 items of clothing (including up to 10 accessories; max 5 pairs of shoes). We will itemise and price the items in the system for you, steam and display the items (40 at a time) on your rack. We will restock the rack as items are sold. You can follow the sales on the app.
We will use our best effort in pricing your items. You will be provided an opportunity to review the pricing in the app online before the items are displayed for sale, and make any adjustments if required. If no adjustments are provided within the timeframe given, it’s understood that you agree to the pricing entered.
UNSOLD ITEMS:
At our full discretion, VENLA may offer the sellers an option of donating select items that remain unsold after the rental period to our “Charity Rack”. The charity rack goal is to ensure that no garments end up in landfill, and all garments find a new loving home. The items on the charity rack are sold at a substantial discount, and the proceeds are donated to charities chosen by VENLA.
GENERAL:
We will do our best to ensure that your clothes are safe with us, however VENLA takes no responsibility if an item is damaged, lost or stolen or if there is afire, water damage or other unforeseen situations. Our store has camera surveillance, all thefts will be reported to the police.
Selling of goods that do not belong to you or goods that are stolen, is prohibited. The seller guarantees that they have the right to sell the items. Selling of counterfeit products is prohibited. Any offences will be reported to the police.
VENLA retains the right to use images and video of the items to promote the store on social media (Instagram, Facebook etc) and our website.
VENLA stores are open 7 days / week, closed on NSW Public Holidays and during Christmas Break. Additional days are always added to bookings that crossover days when VENLA stores are closed.
