VENLA operates with social and environmental responsibility. Proceeds from the sales from our Charity racks - with items donated by our sellers - go to Lou's Place and Northern Beaches Women's Shelter charities. We strive to support local communities with our business.
NBWS is a safe haven, supporting homeless women so they can rebuild their lives, reclaim their independence and rejoin society. Formerly Manly Women’s Shelter, NBWS is a non-profit, community-funded charitable organisation providing crisis accommodation, support, safety and services for homeless women across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Started in 1999 in a terrace in Kings Cross, Sydney, Lou’s Place is a unique, community-based refuge for women in crisis, feeling isolated or needing support.
Most of the women who visit Lou’s Place have experienced multiple traumas in their lives and the majority are facing issues of homelessness, domestic violence, mental health or addiction.
Lou’s Place receives no government funding and relies on the generous support of our friends, donors and corporate partners.
VENLA has been supporting NBWS since January 2021 and Lou's Place since October 2022.
